Kinship Care
Kinship Caregivers are grandparents, siblings, relatives, godparents, stepparents and other adults who provide care to children they know whose parents can no longer care for them. Because of the growing number of Kinship Caregivers, BCCS has instituted kinship support services, which help kinship families identify recreational, respite, training, financial, crisis intervention and other services whenever the need arises.
